RESONANCES | exhibition
RESONANCES brings together for the first time the works of Robert Pous and Pablo Leonardo Martínez, two artists whose practices, though different in language, find common ground in the exploration of energy and perception.
The concept of resonance runs through the exhibition on multiple levels: in matter that vibrates and generates visual tension, in geometries that expand beyond their physical limits, and in the emotions awakened in the viewer when faced with what seems to be in constant transformation.
In the works of Robert Pous, geometry becomes a space for reflection on time, corporeality, and memory. His forms trace paths that oscillate between the organic and the mathematical, inviting us to consider the intersections of science, philosophy, and art.
Pablo Leonardo Martínez, by contrast, presents works of minimalist character yet charged with intense energy. In them, formal austerity is counterbalanced by the vital force that emerges from the material itself, creating an immediate impact that transcends the purely aesthetic.
RESONANCES proposes a dialogue between these two creative universes, where division and unity intertwine. It is an invitation to pause, to contemplate, and to be moved by the invisible pulse that connects forms, gestures, and ideas.

"RESONANCES" takes place outside the walls of EAST WEST, in collaboration with masmir studio. This exhibition marks the beginning of a new program of cultural projects that will unfold throughout the year in Barcelona and its surroundings, creating opportunities to experience contemporary art in unique and unexpected spaces. By expanding beyond the gallery itself, the initiative opens new contexts for artistic dialogue, curatorial experimentation, and the encounter between audiences and creative practices. With each new exhibition, the project aims to enrich the cultural landscape of Barcelona, bringing together contemporary art, collectible design and thought in settings that resonate with both local and international visitors.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
ROBERT POUS
Robert Pous develops his practice at the crossroads of art, science, and philosophy, exploring how geometry and perception shape our understanding of time and space. His work is structured around three conceptual axes: Morphologies of Time, Morphologies of Space, and Human Morphologies. In these investigations, he reflects on transformation, memory, and the body, using geometric and organic forms to create a dialogue between abstraction and experience.
Through drawings, paintings, and sculptures, Pous transforms complex ideas into visual languages that are at once rigorous and poetic. His pieces invite viewers into an immersive process of contemplation, where form becomes a metaphor for human identity and the passage of time.
PABLO LEONARDO
Pablo Leonardo Martínez develops a minimalist yet powerful practice, where matter itself becomes the source of energy and expression. His work often strips away ornament and excess, allowing raw material and precise form to reveal an intensity that resonates beyond the purely visual. Through sculpture and installation, Martínez explores the tension between austerity and vitality, creating pieces that feel at once restrained and forceful. His language is defined by clarity, balance, and the search for essential gestures that transcend surface. Each work operates as a concentrated presence, sparking an immediate emotional and physical response in the viewer.
