Her career began in the world of vintage furniture (Yaya Vintage), but over time, her interest in contemporary design led her to create a space that reflects her love for aesthetics, functionality, and history. Aleix Martin is a visionary in the design world with a deep appreciation for both classic and contemporary aesthetics. His journey into design began with the creation of a unique home alongside his partner, where they focused on bringing together function and artistry in every piece. With a background that spans architecture, design, and curation, Aleix's approach is driven by a passion for crafting spaces that tell a story. Through EAST WEST Space, he strives to offer a platform for emerging and established designers, fostering an environment where innovation, culture, and design converge. Song Tao, born in Shanghai in 1969, graduated in 1986 from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts, majoring in graphic design and painting. In 1993, he earned a Master’s degree in Visual Arts from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. In 1994, he founded TAO Gallery, curating exhibitions for numerous contemporary Chinese artists. In 1995, he established Song Tao Design Studio, focusing on art posters, furniture design, bookbinding, and interior design. In 2002, he founded Zizhao Society, becoming China’s first designer brand. In 2009, he founded O-GALLERY. In 2019, he launched YUAN MUSEUM in Beijing, representing renowned domestic and international artists and designers.
