THE MEANING OF "FANG YUAN" IN DESIGN AND ART
The concept of "Fang Yuan" comes from Chinese aesthetics and represents two fundamental forms in Eastern thought:
Fang (方): Symbolizes structure, stability, and defined order.
Yuan (圆): Represents fluidity, transformation, and organic movement.
Through this exhibition, artists reinterpret these forms, integrating them into pieces that challenge the perception of space and materials, generating a harmonious balance between both concepts. This interplay between rigidity and fluidity, control and spontaneity, reflects a deeper dialogue on how design shapes human interaction and perception.
In "Fang Yuan", these opposing yet complementary forces are expressed through furniture, sculpture, and conceptual design, creating a visual and philosophical experience that invites viewers to reflect on the coexistence of order and freedom in contemporary creation.

"Fang Yuan" features the work of renowned artists and designers whose creations have been showcased in some of the world's most prestigious art and design fairs, including Milan Design Week, Maison & Objet Paris, and Design Shanghai.
One of the highlights of this edition is Chen Darui, a designer and artist recognized for his innovative approach to furniture design. His work merges craftsmanship, technology, and conceptualism, creating pieces that transcend functionality and become artistic expressions of their time.
Another standout piece in the exhibition is a unique spherical creation by Yoyo Balagué, an artist known for her exploration of form, movement, and spatial tension.
