LLUM BCN 25 : LIGHT ARTS FESTIVAL
From February 7 to 9, 2025, Llum BCN 2025 will once again transform Barcelona’s Poblenou district into an immersive light and art experience. This annual festival, organized by the Barcelona City Council, reaches its 14th edition, showcasing cutting-edge installations that explore light as a medium for artistic expression.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT LLUM BCN 2025?
Under the artistic direction of Maria Güell and the international curation of Martin Pošta, co-founder of Prague’s Signal Festival, Llum BCN 2025 will showcase exclusive new works from renowned creators, including:
Joan Fontcuberta: A Barcelona-based conceptual photographer known for questioning the truth behind photographic images.
Isaki Lacuesta: An award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter recognized for his experimental narrative approach.
Laura Clos (Closca): A scenographer and lighting designer who transforms everyday spaces into immersive sensory experiences through light.
This year, the festival will focus on light-based interventions in open spaces, aiming to redefine public spaces and offer visitors a more immersive experience.

WHERE TO EXPERIENCE LLUM BCN 2025?
The festival’s installations will take place in the urban triangle between Avenida Meridiana, Plaça de les Glòries, and Parc del Centre de Poblenou, with Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHUB) serving as its central hub. Best of all, entry is free, offering a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of art, architecture, and technology through light.
NEW FOR 2025: COLLABORATION WITH ISE
A major highlight this year is Llum BCN's partnership with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), one of the world’s leading trade fairs for audiovisual technology, held at Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía from February 4 to 7. ISE attendees will get an exclusive preview of Alice Labourel’s work, A Tiny Bead of Pure Life, projected on February 6 at the South Entrance of Fira Barcelona.
