ULA | ABOUT THE DESIGN
To create the ULA series, I was inspired by the quiet rhythm of the sea—an ancient movement that carves coastlines, shapes stone and mirrors the cycles of the body. This fluid force, both soothing and transformative, reveals a simple truth: within every wave, there is a moment of suspended calm.
From this dialogue between motion and stillness, the collection finds its form. The pieces echo the soft curve of a rising tide, the gentle hollow sculpted by water and the natural swell that embodies protection, growth and inner balance. Their silhouettes preserve the trace of flowing landscapes, while their core speaks of origin, shelter and serene continuity.
In ULA, marble becomes a living surface rather than a fixed material—an expression of the organic gestures that guide nature and the emotional depth of human experience. Each piece invites closeness and reflection, offering a quiet reminder of the forces that shape life from its earliest beginnings.
About the artist
VERÓNICA MAR
Verónica Mar seeks to capture the essence of nature and humanity in her creations, embracing simplicity and a minimal material presence. With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (2005) and another in Interior Design from Eina School (2004), her journey focuses on exploring balance, harmony, and the deep connection between art and spirituality.
Since 2007, she has developed a unique artistic language where each piece reflects a pursuit of natural and organic forms that transform spaces. Works like the SOUL Sculpture Bench (2011) and the Autumn Leaf Swing (2012), internationally recognized, stand out for their ability to convey sensations beyond the visual. She has also collaborated with leading design brands such as Porcelanosa, Cosentino, and Tribú.
Verónica’s work is characterized by the integration of elements such as minerals, numerology, and sacred geometry, subtly embedded in her pieces to foster balance and create a special connection with their surroundings. Her sculptures, paintings, and creations are the result of a unique sensitivity to nature, whose perfection and functionality inspire every form she creates.
For Verónica, art is not only meant to be seen but also felt. Her work invites viewers to discover something extraordinary: authenticity, simplicity, and a resonance that transforms both the space and those who experience it.
Each piece becomes a bridge between the tangible and the intangible, leaving a subtle yet powerful imprint on the spaces it inhabits. Her work interacts with its surroundings, offering a unique balance that transcends functionality and connects with emotions.
