Ula bench | VERÓNICA MAR

€0.00

The Ula Bench by Verónica Mar extends the sculptural language of the ULA Series into a long, fluid composition carved from marble. Its silhouette flows in a gentle gradient—thickening, thinning, and curving with the natural rhythm of stone—creating a piece that is both functional and poetic. Balancing weight and levity, the bench appears almost suspended, supported by a single marble leg and a seamless transition of form. This gesture evokes landscapes shaped by erosion, natural balance, and the quiet precision characteristic of the artist’s work.
Handcrafted in Spain, each bench is a unique expression of the stone’s personality, offering a collectible furniture piece that merges architecture, sculpture, and meditative presence.

ULA | ABOUT THE DESIGN

The ULA series by Verónica Mar emerges from her deep fascination with the movement of water and the soft erosion that shapes landscapes over centuries. Each piece draws from the fluidity of waves, the curvature of riverbeds and the quiet balance found in natural formations.

Handcrafted in southern Spain by master artisans, ULA transforms marble into a living gesture, preserving its energy while revealing new sculptural possibilities. The collection blurs the boundaries between functional object and artistic expression, inviting touch, contemplation and a slower appreciation of form.

Through ULA, Verónica Mar proposes a dialogue between nature’s rhythms and contemporary design, creating pieces that feel both ancient and timelessly modern.

About the artist

VERÓNICA MAR

Verónica Mar seeks to capture the essence of nature and humanity in her creations, embracing simplicity and a minimal material presence. With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (2005) and another in Interior Design from Eina School (2004), her journey focuses on exploring balance, harmony, and the deep connection between art and spirituality.

Since 2007, she has developed a unique artistic language where each piece reflects a pursuit of natural and organic forms that transform spaces. Works like the SOUL Sculpture Bench (2011) and the Autumn Leaf Swing (2012), internationally recognized, stand out for their ability to convey sensations beyond the visual. She has also collaborated with leading design brands such as Porcelanosa, Cosentino, and Tribú.

Verónica’s work is characterized by the integration of elements such as minerals, numerology, and sacred geometry, subtly embedded in her pieces to foster balance and create a special connection with their surroundings. Her sculptures, paintings, and creations are the result of a unique sensitivity to nature, whose perfection and functionality inspire every form she creates.

For Verónica, art is not only meant to be seen but also felt. Her work invites viewers to discover something extraordinary: authenticity, simplicity, and a resonance that transforms both the space and those who experience it.

Each piece becomes a bridge between the tangible and the intangible, leaving a subtle yet powerful imprint on the spaces it inhabits. Her work interacts with its surroundings, offering a unique balance that transcends functionality and connects with emotions.
