GINKGO | ABOUT THE DESIGN
The GINKGO series is born from the quiet resilience of the ginkgo leaf—one of the oldest living symbols on Earth, a form that carries memory, longevity and silent elegance. Its fan-shaped geometry, shaped by millions of years, holds a duality: delicate in appearance yet profoundly strong in nature.
In this collection, the leaf becomes more than a botanical form; it becomes a gesture. The pieces echo the soft curve of a ginkgo’s blade, the subtle ridges that gather light, and the natural cascade of its branches as they move gently with the air. Their silhouettes reflect the balance between fragility and permanence, celebrating the harmony found in nature’s most enduring organisms.
GINKGO transforms metal into a living surface—warm, tactile and full of movement. Each handcrafted leaf preserves the trace of the artisan’s touch, capturing the organic rhythm of falling foliage and the way sunlight filters through layered branches. The compositions invite contemplation, offering a sense of quiet protection and timeless beauty.
About the artist
VERÓNICA MAR
Verónica Mar seeks to capture the essence of nature and humanity in her creations, embracing simplicity and a minimal material presence. With a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (2005) and another in Interior Design from Eina School (2004), her journey focuses on exploring balance, harmony, and the deep connection between art and spirituality.
Since 2007, she has developed a unique artistic language where each piece reflects a pursuit of natural and organic forms that transform spaces. Works like the SOUL Sculpture Bench (2011) and the Autumn Leaf Swing (2012), internationally recognized, stand out for their ability to convey sensations beyond the visual. She has also collaborated with leading design brands such as Porcelanosa, Cosentino, and Tribú.
Verónica’s work is characterized by the integration of elements such as minerals, numerology, and sacred geometry, subtly embedded in her pieces to foster balance and create a special connection with their surroundings. Her sculptures, paintings, and creations are the result of a unique sensitivity to nature, whose perfection and functionality inspire every form she creates.
For Verónica, art is not only meant to be seen but also felt. Her work invites viewers to discover something extraordinary: authenticity, simplicity, and a resonance that transforms both the space and those who experience it.
Each piece becomes a bridge between the tangible and the intangible, leaving a subtle yet powerful imprint on the spaces it inhabits. Her work interacts with its surroundings, offering a unique balance that transcends functionality and connects with emotions.
