The artist’s life has been shaped by forces beyond his own choices, from his environment to life’s unexpected turns. While studying physics and music in Lausanne, his journey took a sudden shift due to a profound sense of unease, which led him on an initiatory journey through his homeland of Afghanistan, still ravaged by war, and later to India, where he discovered the beauty of artisans working in the streets. This experience marked the beginning of his deep connection with wood and light, elements he never consciously chose but has been dedicated to for over 30 years.

He reflects on this inner drive, a powerful force that propels him beyond his understanding, often accompanied by torment and anxiety. He sees his work as more than a craft—it’s a manifestation of a voice yearning to be seen and heard, an expression of something greater that seeks the light.
