OMALIGHT

Omar's artistic journey began with studies in physics and music in Lausanne but shifted dramatically when he returned to his war-torn homeland in Afghanistan to reconnect with his roots. This experience, coupled with later explorations in India, ignited his passion for working with wood and light—mediums that have defined his art for over 30 years. His works, deeply rooted in nature and human emotion, explore the interplay of shadow and light, evoking themes of memory and transcendence. Today, Omar’s lamps and installations stand as a testament to the transformative power of art, making his practice a profound narrative of cultural and personal exploration.

Maxime Halot is a Brussels-based furniture designer known for merging art and craftsmanship, particularly in metal processing.
