IMMERSIVE SENSES Exploration of the mission of ‘pure art’ in modern art.

Artistic attempts to render visible the invisible and give form to the irrational are manifold and often relate to speculations on the origins of creativity. Where does artistic inspiration come from? While earlier art had ernestly explored the representability of the spiritual and the subconscious, a palpable shift started to occur in modern art.

According to the current researching of human minds and consciousness aspects, we know that artists also deserve the mission to exploring our inner self and its relationship with outside sensory organs which often evokes art motivations.

As artists in this enrollees,in their statements as : ‘Intus’, ‘Automated Walks’ which have provided the idea of how could artists exploring their own way of ‘being self’ through the path to the real art, and ‘individual sense with the modern secularised society’ which has a very critical question that one media of any objects is a reflection of artist’s thinking about the reality world by a maneuvering individual’s ‘memories way’ ...

Exploring associated with immersive senses , they assign a central role to the idea of the ‘inner’ quality as the hallmark of the ’authentic‘ work of art regardless of historical and geographical context and independently of its outward form. Their approach, meanwhile, led to abstraction via the increasingly hermetic symbolic use of figurative fragments. With their belief in the importance of ’pure art‘ and the universalism of the abstract language of forms, they set out the ideal that many avant-gardes are pursuing this century.

RELEASE OUR SOUL - Hui & Jun

Our spirituality languishes, ensnared within the corporeal shell, constrained by the limitations of the material world. It suffers under the weight of the palpable reality that encircles it, and its liberation becomes a vital pilgrimage in our quest for spiritual emancipation.

In a society increasingly steeped in secularism, our very essence finds itself fettered, igniting profound inquiries within us: How do we unleash it? How do we rescue its flickering flame?

Artists embark on their own odysseys, wielding the transformative lens of art—a medium that pierces the veil of superficiality to unveil the profound truths of existence. In the intimate exploration of their creations, we unearth pathways that promise to liberate our constricted spirits. It is through the immersive practice and lived experience of art that we stumble upon the routes to unlock our souls, guiding us toward a sanctuary of pure, tranquil authenticity, where our truest selves may flourish.

The theme of this work arises from a profound reflection and expansion on the connotations of Chinese cultural elements. It employs the Taihu stone, a significant symbol of traditional Chinese culture and painting, which has, however, been transformed into a new luxury commodity influenced by contemporary secular culture and commercialism. In response, the creator has utilized a variety of natural materials—such as pine bark, bamboo paper, and mugwort sticks—to reinterpret this concept. The intention is to re-examine these natural elements and uncover their potential to inspire and stimulate artistic expression. This underscores a pivotal artistic philosophy: that art originates from nature and embodies its inherent beauty. Yet, it is the artist's perspective and their detachment from mundane thoughts that constitute the true essence of artistic power. Artists must not succumb to the constraints of the material world; rather, they should strive to seek the spiritual transcendence and freedom that lie beyond these material limitations.

Performance art seeks to explore a provocative and critical attitude within the context of audience interaction, often posing incisive questions that imbue the work with a unique conceptual core, thereby exerting a profound influence on public perceptions. In this particular piece, the creator aims not merely to emphasize the characteristics of Chinese culture or to act as a conduit for cultural dissemination; rather, the aspiration is to liberate Chinese cultural elements from their national confines, thereby generating a broader significance within the realm of global culture. Employing provocative methods—such as challenging the pictorial symbols through the use of ink and elements of traditional Chinese dance—this work intensifies sensory engagement

to awaken contemplation of cultural opposition and conflict. Ultimately, it fosters a desire to understand and embrace new, unfamiliar cultural phenomena.
